Art Supply Swap

How Does It Work?

Donate craft supplies and tools you think someone may be able to find a use for. When you come to the swap meet, we will have a table set up for you to set your donations at. We will sort them out into the swapping area. Sign the guestbook, and then you are free to browse the items. We will have a little crafting area set up if you'd like to use some of your items right away! We will also have coloring pages and stuff to doodle with. It is recommended that you bring your own bag for items that you take, but we try to have some bags available by request as well.

ATTENTION: If you have a large quantity of stuff for donation, please email us at JoMoCreativeReuse@gmail.com to arrange a drop-off directly at the storage unit.

Once a month we will have an event where everyone can come "shop" for free and pick out whatever they think might aid them in their next project! (This event is for artists and makers in the Joplin and surrounding areas.) Anything that is leftover will be stored for the next swap, donated, or recycled. There is no charge! We want this to be accessible to our community regardless of income level.

 

While item donation is not required to participate in the swap, we do ask that you be mindful of others and the fact that they're here to look for art supplies to use too. Please don't take more than you can reasonably use.

Absolutely NO RESELLERS and anyone found to be reselling items straight from the swap will be banned from future participation.​

Please Don’t Bring

• Items that are dirty, moldy, or smelly (this includes cigarette smoke)

• We are no longer accepting holiday crafting or decor items

• While large donations of items are appreciated, please get in touch with us at JoMoCreativeReuse@gmail.com to arrange an appointment to drop off directly at our storage unit, so they can be sorted ahead of time for future swap meets.

• Leave super heavy items at home.​

• We do not accept hazardous materials such as house paint, solvents, spray paint, etc.

• As a general rule... if you wouldn't give it to your friend, please don't give it to us.

What can we bring to swap?

This swap is about usable crafting and art making materials and supplies. Bring clean, new or gently used craft supplies and crafting tools. We also accept crafting books and magazines. If you have a question, feel free to email us at JoMoCreativeReuse@gmail.com

• Hot Glue Sticks and Hot Glue Guns

• Crochet Hooks (Any Size, but 5.5mm and 6mm hooks especially)

• Paints and Brushes

• Tote Boxes
