Art Supply Swap

How Does It Work?

Donate craft supplies and tools you think someone may be able to find a use for. You can either drop off your donations the week prior to an event- our lovely friends at Royale Cinema Lounge have graciously agreed to host and we will have a donation bin set up inside- or just bring your donations with you when you come to the swap meet!

ATTENTION: If you have a large quantity of stuff for donation, please email us at JoMoCreativeReuse@gmail.com to arrange a drop-off directly at the storage unit.

Once a month we will have an event where everyone can come "shop" for free and pick out whatever they think might aid them in their next project! (This event is for artists and makers in the Joplin and surrounding areas.) Anything that is leftover will be stored for the next swap, donated, or recycled. There is no charge! We want this to be accessible to our community regardless of income level.

Notice: We are looking into options for a physical location. There may be a chance that materials donated will be sold in the future at a low price point. If/when that does happen, please be aware that we are not doing this to make a profit- any money made from materials will be reinvested into JoMo Creative Reuse and making art accessible for all. We are not officially a nonprofit yet, but that is a long-term goal of ours.

What can we bring to swap?

This swap is about usable crafting and art making materials and supplies. Bring clean, new or gently used craft supplies and crafting tools. We also accept crafting books and magazines.​

• #6 Plastic (for making shrinky dinks)

• Heat Gun

• Toaster Oven

• Stickers

• Stamps

• Ink Pads

• Mod Podge

• Hot Glue Sticks and Hot Glue Guns

• Crochet Hooks (Any Size, but 5.5mm and 6mm hooks especially)

• Tote Boxes

Please Don’t Bring

• Items that need repair (items that cannot be used immediately and without rehabilitation as a crafting material, supply, or tool).

• While large donations of items are appreciated, please get in touch with us at JoMoCreativeReuse@gmail.com to arrange an appointment to drop off directly at our storage unit, so they can be sorted ahead of time for future swap meets.

• Please don't bring anything moldy, dirty, or smelly

• Leave super heavy items at home.​

• Leave hazardous materials in your garage, including oil-based solvents, house paint, dry paint tubes.
