What is Creative Reuse?

We collect and redistribute donated art supplies into the hands of artists and makers in an effort to give new life to materials that would otherwise be forgotten or taking up space in a landfill. We believe that everyone should be able to have an opportunity to create regardless of ability or income level.

Mission

To foster a sense of community, creativity, and sustainability in the Joplin and surrounding area, and provide a place to demonstrate the joy of artistic creation and generosity.

Vision

To provide an affordable and sustainable hub for artists and makers in the Joplin and surrounding area to source new materials and give new life to old supplies.

What does the future look like?

This is just a small list of the things we would like to accomplish by establishing JoMo Creative Reuse in the Joplin area.

Rent a storage unit to store donated materials
Become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
Find a regular spot to host art swaps and take in donations of materials
Fundraise enough to cover a 1 year lease on a retail property in the Joplin area to open a low-cost art thrift and space for workshops/third space for artists to work on projects
Have a small retail space within the establishment for a local artists showcase - artists can rent a small space to sell finished pieces and share their contact info.
